Pacific Mist Manzanita
Hybrid of undetermined manzanita species, possibly including Arctostaphylos silvicola. "This is a spreading ground-cover manzanita with gray-green leaves. Ideal for coastal gardens especially thriving in the beach sand. It will also tolerate heavier soils. It is fast growing and will tolerate dry shade which is unusual for manzanitas. However, it does need pruning at least twice a year to keep it in check. Pacific Mist produces white flowers in late winter, followed by berries that are attractive to birds.
