Grass Sod Policy

This policy contains additional Terms and Conditions pertaining specifically to all 'Grass Sod' products sold by C&J Gardening LLC. A list of all products that include this additional Terms of Service can be found here

ORDER REQUIREMENTS

We only accept orders with a minimum of 200 square feet of 'Grass Sod' products. The order may contain a combination of different 'Grass Sod' products that add up to the minimum order requirement of 200 square feet. In the event that your order contains less than the required minimum quantity, either by mistake or system error, you will be notified of the error with the email or phone number provided when placing the order. We reserve the rights to cancel any order that does not meet any of our ordering requirements.

DELIVERY

Local pick-up is not an available option. All 'Grass Sod' products must be delivered and will only be delivered to the supported zones listed below. Any orders placed with a destination outside the zones listed below will be cancelled for a full refund.

Due to the perishable nature of the merchandise, person over the age of 18 must be present for the arrival of your order. To learn more about how to prepare for the arrival of your order and what to do upon arrival of your order, please visit our guide here.

Orders are usually scheduled to deliver on Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week, excluding Holidays, but are subject to change. You may select the delivery date that is best for your schedule during the checkout process and we will do our best to compliment your selection. We do not make any implications, guarantees, or promises that your selected delivery date is available. If you do not select a delivery date or the selected date is unavailable, we will notify you with the email or phone number provided when placing the order. 

We are not responsible for any missed deliveries. We are not responsible for any service charges for the delivery of your order and service charges for the order are not subject to reimbursement. We are not responsible for any products that are damaged or perished after delivery.

INSTALLATION

We do not offer an installation service. Please visit our guide section for information on how to prepare for your new grass sod and what to do when your new grass sod arrives.

GRASS HANDLING FEE

 A 'Grass Handling Fee' is automatically attached to any order of 'Grass Sod' products. The conditions for the 'Grass Handling Fee' are as follows:

  • $100 Grass Handling Fee will be applied for orders between 200+ square feet.
  • $50 Grass Handling Fee will be applied for orders of 500+ square feet.
  • Grass Handling Fee will be waived for orders of 1000+ square feet.

In the event that your order does not contain the proper 'Grass Handling Fee', either by mistake or system error, you will be notified of the error with the email or phone number provided when placing the order. We reserve the rights to cancel any order that does not meet any of our ordering requirements.

DELIVERY TIMES AND TERRITORY

We delivery directly to homes in all of Southern California. The delivery territory is divided into Zone 1 and Zone 2.

Zone 1

Zone 1 deliveries are made in the afternoon with sod harvested that morning.

The Zone 1 territory includes:

South Santa Barbara County

Ventura County

Northwest Los Angeles County

Zone 2

Zone 2 deliveries are made in the morning with sod that was harvested the prior afternoon.

The Zone 2 territory includes:

Central, South, and East Los Angeles County

Orange County

West San Bernardino County

West San Diego County

Delivery times are our best estimate. We do not pay standby time in the event that we are late. We make every effort to complete our deliveries on time. Delivery times are calculated using computer algorithms that cannot predict extraordinary circumstances such as but not limited to traffic, break down, difficulty of prior deliveries, acts of nature, etc. 

Deliveries are routed to maximize trucking efficiencies, as well as accommodate customer requests if possible. Requests such as "early as possible" or "late as possible" can generally be accommodated if possible within your zone's delivery time. However, we will not know your exact drop time. We will also not know the delivery sequence until the routes are computed.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Certain products or services may be limited in quantity or become unavailable due to heavy demands or seasonal changes. If any items in your order is unavailable, it will be removed from your order and a full refund for the unavailable items will be issued. You will be notified of the unavailability as well as once the items becomes available again. 

CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND EXCHANGES

We do not accept cancellations after your order is placed. There is no cooling-off period for 'Grass Sod' product. Due to the perishable nature of the merchandise, we do not accept returns on 'Grass Sod' products. We do not offer any refunds or options for exchange for 'Grass Sod' products.

The only time of which an order will be cancelled and a full-refund issued is if the order's delivery destination is outside our deliverable service areas listed above or the item is unavailable.
