Plant Sizing Guide

The Carrotwood tree is a highly adaptable, medium-sized ornamental tree appreciated in urban landscaping for its clean growth habit, dense crown, and exceptional durability. It features a trunk clad in smooth, light gray outer bark. True to its name, cutting into the wood reveals a vibrant, distinctive orange inner bark and heartwood. It boasts a thick, umbrella-like canopy composed of glossy, leathery, dark green compound leaves. While it produces subtle, inconspicuous clusters of flowers, its heavy yield of multi-lobed bright yellow-orange seed capsules provides notable visual interest during summer months before splitting to reveal striking black seeds wrapped in a bright red-orange coating.
