Brush Cherry - Eugenia myrtifolia
The Brush Cherry (Syzygium paniculatum) is a versatile evergreen prized for its dense, glossy foliage and ornamental appeal. It is frequently used as a formal hedge, screen, or topiary because it responds well to shearing and maintains a tight, manicured shape. The plant is striking for its color transformation; new leaves emerge in shades of bronze or reddish-purple before maturing to green. In addition to its foliage, it produces clusters of white, "puffy" or feathery flowers followed by small berries that range from rose-purple to dark red.
